Dear Reader:

Thanks for picking up this issue! There’s a lot going on around PHS, and we’ve got it all covered. Find out about one of many holiday charity projects at PHS on page 5, check out a new club on page 10, or get to know Ms. O’Connor on page 6.

I’m also very excited to have a new guest writer in this issue. Victoria Enzenauer, an exchange student from Germany who has been here since the summer and will stay for around another month, shares her experiences living in the United States on page 5. It’s an interesting and inspiring article that definitely made me want to travel across the world! So get to know what being an exchange student is like, and as Victoria reminds you in her article, don’t forget to say hi if you see her in the halls!
On page 9, you’ll find Marlee Breakstone’s story about seeing Team Starkid on SPACE Tour. If you haven’t heard of Team Starkid, I’m sure you’ll want to check out their shows after reading this article. You can also check out the Phoenix’s YouTube channel for more about them—we’ve interviewed members of the theater company twice now. Last I checked, the first video of our interview with Darren Criss and Nick Lang had over 95,000 views. Almost 100,000 people have watched it.That’s something I find nearly impossible to believe, and something I’m so, so happy about. Sadly, though, our YouTube channel has been lacking in videos lately, which I want to change. Do you have an idea about whom we should try to interview next?
